Large Caliper Trees
How does Greenblade grow a superior tree? By growing them in Grande Prairie where our trees are acclimatized and proven hardy.
Our nursery location was selected for proximity to the city, excellent soil composition, shelter and drainage. We were fortunate to obtain land that has the superior specifications for tree production. Our soil preparation, planting method, drip irrigation and fertilization; combined with skillful annual pruning, structure development and careful maintenance and harvesting with a generous rootball produces a healthier, more vigorous tree. With proper after planting care, our locally grown trees will grow in health and beauty in your yard.
Caliper is the diameter measured at one foot above the ground. These are hardy Alberta grown trees. They are annually pruned for superior natural form. Heights vary depending on the species. They range from 10 to 16 feet. Planting costs vary according to the quantity and location, we quote each job.

We produce a quality tree with our knowledge of trees and methods of production and after harvest maintenance. Our standard container is a 36” diameter wire basket with a burlap liner. The large root ball results in a healthier transplant. These trees are very well maintained from harvest until planting in our display yard. They weigh approximately 400 to 700 pounds and require a bobcat to load and move them.
